Spheroidal weathering is attributed to forming the magnificent rounded boulders of Granite Dells in Prescott, Arizona.  The ancient granites are currently standing out of water in some areas because of the addition of small reservoirs to the landscape. Typically much human activity surrounds the area but due to a lightning storm at the time of this image capture all had retreated.
