Smoke That Thunders
The Zambezi River reaches a point on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe where it tumbles into a chasm. The mists resulting from the fall are known historically by native peoples as "Mosi-oa-Tunya" or the "the smoke that thunders." The lovely natural place is also known as Victoria Falls, a name given to it in the nineteenth century to honor of the Queen of Great Britain.
