Gondwana's Trace
Nothofagus varieties grow in snowy margins on the slopes of Mount Krund in the Argentine province of Tierra del Fuego. These vascular plants are classified as Antarctic flora having origins on Gondwana, considered the southern super-continent of historic Earth.
