Red Bark Baobab
A healthy red bark baobab in South Africa. The tree is prized for its fruits and has been used by man and wildlife for shade and shelter. Baobabs are often bulbous or quite stout with relatively short tortuous branches. Most varieties originate in Madagascar and have spread the continents of Africa and Australia.
