Anhinga Preening
The bright blue-green eye ring of the male Anhinga is a sign of it being in breeding season. Anhingas dive into the water to fish and then spread their wings while perched in order to dry them after the dive. They thrive in watery habitats with varied salinities but given a choice seem to favor fresh water first.
